America – Orange Silhouette with Historical Collage

Beneath the widely spaced letters ‘AMERICA’ sits a large orange head in profile. Inside the silhouette, an American flag, clocks, machinery, portraits and a wind instrument form a detailed collage. A revolver and text from the American Declaration of Independence are incorporated at the bottom. The combination of a simple outer shape and a richly detailed inner world makes the image interesting both close up and from a distance. The warm orange and dark line drawings suit a mid-century interior or a distinctive study or living room with retro accents.
