Bauhaus Rhythm in Black and Beige

This composition plays with repetition, direction and contrast. Black semicircles alternate horizontally and vertically, so the beige spaces between them also form a pattern. At the bottom are the words ‘Bauhaus’ and ‘Exhibition’, with ‘Frankfurt’ and ‘July 19, 1923’ beneath. The restrained palette lets the geometric shapes speak for themselves.
