United: Flags and Firepower

This vertical composition shows a dense array of gun barrels viewed from below. Several barrels bear national flags, including those of the United States and the United Kingdom. Yellow shafts of light, red flames and black smoke heighten the dramatic perspective. The words ‘UNITED we are strong’ and ‘UNITED we will win’ appear at the top and bottom. The combination of painted forms, bold typography and strong colour contrasts gives the artwork a vintage character. As large wall art, it makes an emphatic statement in an office or hallway. The military imagery centres on collective strength and calls for a setting where the composition can be fully appreciated.
